Hotel Continental is a charming, family-run, sophisticated luxury hotel in central Oslo and now in its fourth generation the hotel has recently been renovated.
Hotel Continental Oslo’s location is as central as it get’s, directly across from the National Theatre, and very close to the parliamentary building and royal palace.
A beacon of luxury since its opening in 1900, the hotel is the country’s only five-star hotel, with 155 individually designed rooms and suites.
Guests can enjoy fine dining at Restaurant Eik Annen Etage while the historic Theatre cafeen has been Oslo’s most popular dining and meeting place for over 100 years. Drinks and snacks can be enjoyed at the maritime-style Steamen Cafe, or at the popular Dagligstuen bar which homes a privately owned collection of graphic works by Edvard Munch.
Location and Transfers
The hotel is located in the heart of Oslo, near the park of Slottsparken. It is also closely located near the National Theatre.
Standard Single – these rooms have a queen-sized bed with about 18 square metres of space. These rooms are perfect for thos on a business trip for a couple of nights.
Standard Double – these rooms have an average space of 20 sqaure metres. With an LCD flat screen and “movies on demand” and a mini-bar with a good selection of drinks, these rooms are ideal for couples.
Superior – our rich superior rooms measure an average of 24 square metres and have many unique details. All double rooms have king size beds. In addition to large and comfortable beds, the rooms are conveniently decorated with a focus on good quality and high standards.
Deluxe – our spacious double deluxe rooms are on average 32 square metres and have either a king size bed or twin beds. Each of the rooms is unique but common to all of them is a tasteful interior, high standard and ample space.
Juior Suite – our junior suites are an average of 40 square metres – the perfect choice for those who want extra space. Several of the suites have a balcony.
Royal Suite – the Royalsuiten is the hotel’s newest and finest suite and is decorated in a luxurious and elegant style.
Theatercafeen – the theater cafe is a piece of Norwegian cultural history and a must for every Oslo visitor.
Dagligstuen – this is our popular lobby bar, which has been a famous venue in Oslo since the 1930s.
Oak Second Floor – restaurant Eik Annen Etage offers gourmet to the people.
