Schloss Elmau is located 100 km south of Munich and 1000 m above sea level in a beautiful sanctuary in the Bavarian Alps. Schloss Elmau was built in 1916, largely destroyed by a fire in 2005 and rebuilt as a Luxury Spa & Cultural Hideaway in 2007 offering guests a liberating sense of space and casual luxury as well as a unique cultural tradition with some of the greatest artists and authors of our time.
The Schloss Elmau Retreat is located 150 metres west of the Schloss on a sunny hill. As a Retreat within the Hideaway it will be offering guests of Schloss Elmau yet another dimension of space and privacy in 47 suites, two Restaurants and Spa with breathtaking views of the Wetterstein Mountain and Ferchenbach Creek.

Located in the Bavarian Alps, 60 miles from Munich. Schloss Elmau is 18 km from the famous ski resort Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the largest town in the area.
The closest International Airport is Innsbruck, 45 minutes from the hotel.

La Salle – live cooking and International buffets for all generations. A perfect day begins with the perfect breakfast. From 7:30 – 11:00 a.m., the sumptuous buffet in the spacious La Salle offers freshly squeezed orange juice and home-baked bread, delectable preserves and marmalades and egg dishes prepared as you watch, along with fine cheeses, organic produce and many other delicacies. The Kaminstüberl – fondues for lovers. If you relish a good fondue and/or would prefer to partake of the opulent choice of dishes from the neighbouring La Salle in a more intimate setting, the cosy Kaminstüberl with its comfortable alcoves and open fireplace is the perfect place. In summer, it includes a terrace facing the inner courtyard
The Ananda – culinary delights in a tranquil setting, exclusively for adults. If you prefer to enjoy your breakfast as early as 7 a.m. or as late as noon and in complete tranquillity at the Badehaus Spa or on its terrace – fully dressed or in your bathrobe, this is the spot for you. It even comes with a view of the mountains and the pool. Around lunchtime, enjoy light dishes – salads, wraps and soups – followed later by cake. Elmauer Alm (Mountain Hut) – built in 1924 the Elmauer Alm sits at an elevation of 4000ft with panoramic views of the surrounding Mountain Ranges. Serving a variety of Bavarian Classics all year long. During fine weather the Alm is open Tuesday – Sunday 10:30-5:30pm

Badehaus Spa – reserved as an oasis of perfect calm and pampering for adults and features a 25m rooftop infinity lap pool, 20m hot salt water pool, 5m cold plunge pool, large salt water steam bath, large sauna, tea and fruit lounge, several relaxation areas and terraces, Spa Restaurant, Yoga Room, Spa Treatment Lounge and 15 treatment rooms
Oriental Hamam – features three large dome rooms with hot stones and water tubs, two treatment rooms, two steam baths, relaxation area and tea lounge
Nature Spa (open Mid June – Mid September) – welcomes children, located in a pristine valley in front of the hotel and features a sauna at the crystal clear creek, a 25m lap pool, volleyball court, childrens playground, three tennis courts, two boccia courts and a grill restaurant
Lady Spa – located on the top floor of the Badehaus Spa next to the Rooftop Pool and features a salt water steam bath and secluded Finnish sauna and relaxation areas with a spectacular views of the Wetterstein mountains
Private Spa – the entire top floor of the Badehaus Spa including the Lady Spa may be reserved privately from 8:30 pm to 1 am at additonal charge
