For an unforgettably unique experience, relish the exclusivity of dining or staying in one of four traditional Thai teakwood houses sourced by silk tycoon Jim Thompson and former owner and renowned socialite Connie Mangskau. In these homes Connie hosted an array of cosmopolitan characters, including Jacqueline Kennedy, Henry Ford, John Rockefeller and Roger Moore.

Location and Transfers
The Siam is located on the Bangkok side of the Chao Praya River, at the base of Krung Thon Bridge in historic Dusit district. This area is home to all of Bangkok’s must-see cultural sights. Vimanmek Teak Palace Museum and Dusit Zoo are 5 minutes away by car and a boat ride to the Grand Palace takes just 15 minutes.
Suvarnabhumi International Airport is reached in a smooth 45 minute limousine ride and the city’s main shopping artery, downtown Siam Square, is just 20 minutes away
The Siam features 39 of the capital’s most spacious suites and pool villas as well as a uniquely historical Thai House, Connie’s Cottage. All rooms are outfitted with plush furnishings and luxury amenities super-sized king beds, lofty ceilings, their very own Art Deco-style living rooms with flat screen IPTVs and mini-bars as well as airy bathrooms with deep tubs and walk-in showers. Connie’s Cottage – for the ultimate in memorable experiences, succumb to the Siamese charm of this unique abode, Connie’s Cottage. This historical, century-old house was brought by boat downriver to Bangkok from the ancient capital of Ayutthaya by curio collector, Connie Mangskau and her dear friend the silk merchant, Jim Thompson. Today it has been totally refurbished and equipped with the finest in modern comforts whilst keeping its distinctive charm. Upstairs, Connie’s Cottage features a four-poster Thai King bed, an ensuite bathroom and a private outdoor balcony. Set at the garden-level is a living room in landscaped surrounds featuring the largest private pool on the property
Chon Thai Restaurant – Chon is the Thai word for spoon: a Thai symbol of service, dining and sharing. At The Siam’s signature Thai restaurant and cooking school, you will be served a truly, local meal while enjoying some fascinating history
Deco Bar & Bistro – the snappy black & white interiors of Deco Bar & Bistro bring to life Thailand’s Art Deco period, with international comfort cuisine inspired by the jazzy ambience. Come here to indulge in bountiful breakfasts, languid light lunches, sundowner small plates and decadent dinners. Choose from the carefully curated cocktail and wine list and marvel at an original, autographed menu from a New York that hosted King Rama VI during his visit in 1902
